SomConnect is a place for Somalis worldwide to share knowledge and help one another. These guidelines keep it respectful and trustworthy for everyone.

Our values

We care about respect and trustworthy knowledge. All three of our languages — Somali, English, and Arabic — are welcome here.

Be respectful

Treat others with care. There is no place for harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks. Disagree with ideas, not with people.

Keep it trustworthy

Share accurate information and cite your sources where you can. Avoid spam and repetitive self-promotion.

Stay on topic

Post in the community that fits your question or contribution, so others can find and learn from it.

Reporting

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, use the report button. Our moderators review every report.

Consequences

Depending on the situation, we may remove content, issue warnings, or apply temporary or permanent bans for repeated or serious violations.
